Not only children, but elders and youngsters are enjoying the festive season to welcome both Santa and the winter season. Christmas is special for everyone and is celebrated all over the world. Different people have different reasons to celebrate the festival. Christians celebrate the fest in the memory of Jesus Christ while other people celebrate it to just enjoy the holidays and winter season. Christmas is celebrated by people in many ways. Some people decorate Christmas trees and their houses. Other people go outside for party. Some people celebrate it by wishing each other with Christmas greetings and Christmas messages. Other celebrate it with friends and family. Christmas has a big relation to Santa Claus, also named as Saint Nicholas. Though Santa Claus is just a mythical figure, who is said to bring gifts for people on Christmas, but children have a big respect and love for him. Saint Nicholas day is celebrated on December 6. The modern form of Santa Claus is taken from the Dutch figure of Sinterklaas. The modern figure of Santa involves a white bearded man, who wears red outfit with a red Santa cap. He carries a bag full of presents for children. Santa is supposed to give these gifts to children all over the world one night before Christmas.
